How to apply an acrylic wig.
Start with the front of your models hair create a start middle parting.
take a section of one side of the parting and create a pin curl twist it over so it is facing flat on to the scalp them pin it in having the hair pins cross over.
repeat this process and use this technique up to the crown of the head.
repeat the same steps on the other side of the head.
Since my models hair was so fine I did not wrap the hair around the crown of the hair instead i created two braids.
Once the two braids had been created I then wrapped them over each other and pinned it down so that when it comes to putting on the wig the bobby pins can catch on easily to the hair underneath making it secure.
Now its time to add on the wig cap. Get your model to make bunny ears with their finger apply the front of the wig cap to their fingers and ask them to hold it.
Then stretch the wig cap over your models hair and pull it down.
once the wig cap is on pull the wig cap up to your models hair line.
make sure there are no baby hairs coming out use the end of your tail comb and tuck in the hairs around the outline of your models head.
Secure the wig cap with some loose grips at the front, back and middle of your models head so it is nice and secure
Apply the wig on to your model
- Ask your model to make bunny ears again and now put the front of the wig on her fingers and then gently pull it back to fit on your models head.
- Make sure your wig is on properly by checking the corners of the wig just above the ears that the are equal and the corners f the nape of the hair. Re-adjust so it sits perfectly on your model.
- Now start securing the wig by using a loose grip hair pin, poke it through the wig and push it back in to you models hair and this should secure the wig on tight. repeat the same process for all four edges of the wig (on top of the ear and the nape of the wig).
- Now your model is ready and her wig is lovely and secure.
