How to put a Lace wig on a block

Once the wig is in place and secure we then damped down a long piece of ribbon and start to flatten down the lace edging ( We have to do this because the lace can get stretched out over time of being used so this helps it to regain its shape) So firstly placing the damp ribbon in the middle of ... well we will say the forehead area attaching the ribbon to the edge of the lace then pulling with tension carry on working your way down one side then repeat to the other side. When all is secure we then need pull over the dangly left over ribbon across the front of the block, This helps keep the ribbon tight and secure as shown in image below.

Once the wig is secure on the block we then got a piece of ribbon and damped it down with water. We use the ribbon and damp it down so that the from edges of the lace has been flatten down due to wear and tear and can make the edges lift up so this helps the lace to regain its shape and keep it flatten down. I first started from the middle of the front lace with my ribbon and pinned it down and then followed all the edges of the wig folding the ribbon over so that is tight and secure.
